[Upon finding and reading a certain public notice put up by the tavern, Korrin stalks away to destroy some training dummies for a few hours. If there was ever any doubt that she's been holding back before, the mess that's left behind after she's done should make that clear enough. It's late when she finally returns to the quarters she offered to share with Araceli, still deeply furious but able to contain her rage to ranting and pacing now. Her expression is hard and set, the rest of her body rigid with tension. It's doubtful that even time in the hot spring could make that disappear.]
Fucking Anders. Vashedan. That abomination has no business being alive, what the hell are they thinking....
Korrin's not where Araceli left her. As though eager to prove herself a terrible patient, the feverish Vashoth woman has stumbled her way to the tavern. Whether deep in denial or trying to beat back her illness by sheer force of willpower, the result is the same; she's practically draped on a corner table, no drink in hand and only vaguely paying attention to her surroundings. The music seems to help, since otherwise she's periodically frowning and looking at nothing in particular...though those afflicted will see the spirits she does. Who knows, Fortitude may even be egging her on.
[Korrin's message several hours later, though she gave it soon after arriving. Her tone is naturally on edge, distant and distorted thanks to how it filters through the Fade.]
Kadan...? Kadan, please answer...are you there?
Nightmare's dead, but we're still stuck...fucking Fade...trying to find a way out. I can feel a pull, going to follow it...hope it leads me to you. I--
[And the sounds of combat commence, so she'll have to try again later.]
It's early in the evening when Korrin returns to Skyhold, still clad as an Avvar for the hell of it. Yes, part of it's due to reactions she'll get; scandalizing the easily-scandalized is hilarious, after all. But also, she just could't bring herself to let go of it, at least for the length of the trip back to Skyhold.
The Korrin who enters the main gates is calmer than the one who left, strangely fragile and in shock despite the decline not being what one would call swift. The grief still lingers in her eyes, but said eyes are dry and more apt to remain that way until something seemingly random sets her off. But she hopes that won't be often; Korrin's needed here, and she won't serve the Inquisition by being a wreck. That and she needs Araceli more than she needs to hang out with the Avvar who knew her friend.
So with that in mind, she'll turn to the stables only long enough to get her mount situated before seeking out her kadan.
( A bright, cheerful voice can be heard over the crystal, Ruby pulling together a few things for the impending mission. ) Hey! Araceli, is now an okay time?
( The message that comes through is quiet - Gwenaëlle shifting to the other side of the library and lowering her voice, so as to stop carrying so obviously into Thranduil's conversation; )
Araceli - I hate to presume on our new acquaintance, ( it doesn't sound like she does, honestly, ) but since I'm presuming competence I hope you'll forgive me. Two more unnecessarily large elves arrived with the rift - Thranduil recognised the name of one, they might be a threat.
[ he calls at an hour fairly soon after the Gallows mess would have closed for the evening. his tone is polite, perfunctory. ]
This is not a social call, but rather one under the purview of Research. Would you mind describing, as best you are able, whatever you were doing shortly before you arrived in Thedas?
[ pause, shuffling of paper. ]
I am seeking to gather information about Rifters. As the Inquisition has stopped conducting formal interviews upon arrival, we do not have much documentation on the phenomenon for those of us who have arrived more recently. You are not obligated to answer, and are quite free to refuse.
...am I cursed? Not that it's all about me, but at this point I really have to wonder if that's true.
[Sorry, kadan, she'll try to make more sense. But with trying to be there as much as possible for Nahariel and Sina, she hasn't been well-rested in the past few weeks.]
[ Vane has very little love for exploring the city, and much less patience for its people than Flint, Silver and Max hold. Most of his time is spent at the docks - somewhat guarding the Walrus (sleeping in the captain's quarters while Flint stays at the tavern), and the rest trying to gain a feel for the sailors, the captains, the Inquisition soldiers that pass.
He's signed onto the Naval Presence project by his second day in town, and by the third, he follows the name the Commander had suggested, having found a matching one at the top of the Naval Presence roster. ]
Araceli Bonaventura? [ a gravely, deep voice questions honestly, because what the fuck are these crystals, he doesn't completely trust them to reach the right person. ] Leader of the Naval Presence project?
My name is Charles Vane. My crew and I were suggested to contact you by Commander Coupe.
[ The message comes shortly after the announcement of what is happening in Minrathous, Beleth's voice sounding worried, but trying to keep from reaching a panic. ]
Araceli, I'm sure you've heard what's going on--I'm trying to organize efforts to help the people trying to escape from Tevinter. There are ships that some agents have managed to stow away on, but I fear that the conditions are...not ideal. There's doubtlessly overcrowding, the extra people will strain the ships' resources, they might be pursued--
I need you to go out there and meet them. Escort the agents safely back to Kirkwall.
I can also speak to any of the other...experienced sailors, [ Pirates. ] and see if they can help out, as well.
feel free to pm me if you have any other thoughts <3

Could be delivered after Korrin's escape, given the time delay.
Around a week after Asher's funeral
